Welcome to my N64 button shop! I will try to stock this site with a few dozen button sets in various colors every month or two. Though I may become more adventurous in the future, for now the buttons you'll find here will likely be solid colors, mostly translucent or transparent.
Unless otherwise noted, all buttons are cast using Alumilite Clear resin. Once cured, they are post-processed using sprue cutters and an x-acto knife, checked against OEM spec using a micrometer, fit-tested using an OEM controller shell, then playtested using a controller test ROM on OEM hardware. Playtesting ensures full travel distance, clean rebound and accurate registration of repeated button presses as well as a near-OEM feel.
LRZ buttons are drilled out to maintain compatibility with RockerGaming's tactile trigger mod. If you're not using this, you should be; it's an incredible upgrade. These button sets will include a spare 3d-printed insert for the L and R triggers, since the fit is tighter than OEM and removal can sometimes be problematic.
If you encounter any issues with your order or if you have color or design ideas you'd like to see, please reach out to me directly on Discord; my username there is drumstix576. You'll find me most active on the wonderful TaoStyx64 server. If you're not already a member there, come join us!
Grading:
All graded buttons should be fully functional when installed in an OEM controller shell.
"A" grade listings should feature a consistent color throughout and should be free of bubbles, swirls, and other visual artifacts or structural defects.
"B" grade listings may include small air bubbles around the bottom rim, or may contain small swirls of white. These may be more visible in some colors than in others, but generally they should not be noticeable when the button is installed. For variants including L and R triggers, some sets may have air bubbles in the smaller end. These should not be visible from outside of most controller shells and should not affect functionality.
In an effort to reduce waste, I may occasionally list bulk sets of buttons that fell short of a "B" grade. These will be sold at a steep discount, will require cleanup and post-processing, and may or may not be functional in some builds. They're a great option if you want to tinker, mix and match, or incorporate buttons into your non-N64 projects. These bulk lots are purchased as-is with no guarantees.
